Why UAE

  • In May 2017, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, launched the Dubai Cybersecurity Strategy that aims to strengthen Dubai's position as a world leader in innovation, safety and security.
  • The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched an information security project, which is in line with the Dubai Cybersecurity Strategy. DHA has adopted a training programme for the Information Security project. So far, 5,000 staff members have been trained and by the end of the year 10,000 staff members will be trained in data achieving and information protection and security protocols.
  • An advanced cybersecurity network was rolled out across 35 federal bodies with the aim to protect the UAE government against “advanced persistent threats”. Called the Federal Network, or FEDNet for short, the sweeping upgrade was launched by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
