Ian started his career with a PPE manufacturer, working there for 11 years, during which he led the development of some of the most advanced firefighter protective clothing solutions for thousands of UK firefighters, latterly as Fire Director.

Chief J. Robert “Rob” Brown, Jr., (Ret.) serves as the Assistant Executive Director of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC).
Chief Brown has been a member of the IAFC since 1987, but joined the IAFC staff as Assistant Executive Director after retiring from the fire service as a Metropolitan Fire Chief in 2015. Immediately prior to retirement, Chief Brown served as Fire Chief of the Fresno (CA) Fire Department - California’s 5th largest city.
Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri, and is a Master’s Degree candidate in Intelligence and National Security at the Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security in Washington, DC. Brown formerly served as adjunct faculty in Special Operations at the United States National Fire Academy, and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program.

İlker İBİK was born in İstanbul in July 12th 1977. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Aeronautical Engineering department in 1999.
In 2008, the feasibility study, installation, commissioning and management of ERA LABORATORIES A.Ş Fire Test Laboratories, the first Construction Materials Reaction to Fire Testing (EN 13501-1) Laboratory in Turkey, as well as the accreditation studies of the same laboratory to EN 17025 laboratory management system standard, were carried out by İlker İBİK and his team.
Between the years 2009 and 2011, he carried out the studies of feasibility, business planning, investment/project planning of EFECTIS ERA AVRASYA Test ve Belgelendirme A.Ş, Turkey’s first accredited reaction and resistance to fire test laboratory, fire safety engineering center and internationally accredited third-party inspection and certification body. He has been the Chairman of the same company since April 2011.

He received the Schlumberger chairman Distinguished HSE Service Award 1998 & 2001, KOC chairman HSE award 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2007 then for many years when he joined KOC, Petroleum Economist HSE award 2007 & 2008 also Silver ROSPA award for 2016 and the most important award is KUWAIT Information Technology award under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait and Chairman of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS).

Bala Siva Srikanth Adivi CSP, CMIOSH is working as TPL Specialist I (HSE) with HSE (S&EK) Team of South & East Kuwait Directorate of Kuwait Oil Company, State of Kuwait. He is a double graduate in Bachelors of Sciences and Bachelors of Fire Engineering. He has around 20 years’ experience in the HSE consultancy and HSE management in Oil & Gas industries. He has significant experience in implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems for process industries besides fire prevention and protection.
Mr. Bala presented number of technical papers and posters at different international HSSE Conferences, including at Safety -2017, Safety-2016, Safety-2015, Safety2014, Safety-2013, ASSP-Kuwait Chapter, Middle East Chapter and SPE Conferences. He was awarded with Best Paper presenter in one of the SPE HSSE Conferences. Also he was awarded with Kuwait Oil Company’s Chairman & Managing Director HSSE Award for two successive years. In addition, significant contribution extended to Mr. Ali Al-Failakawi who has won ASSP Safety Innovation Award for 2014 @ Safety-2014, Orlando.
Mr. Bala was also presented with SPY (Safety Professional of the Year) award by ASSP Kuwait Chapter for the year 2013 and also was presented with first ever SPY (Safety Professional of the Year) of the Global Region in the last Safety-2016 at Atlanta. Also, he received ASSP IPS SPY award for the year 2018. In addition, his significant contribution in one of the projects made Mr. Ahmed Qabazard of Kuwait Oil Company was awarded with Honorary recipient of Safety Innovation Award for the year 2016. He is also winner of KOC CEO HSSE Award twice.
